Northwestern’s second annual color run/walk will be this Sat., April 11. The race will begin at 11:30 a.m at the Ranger Football Field tiers, south entrance.

The run is free to all Northwestern students and employees. Alva community members must pay a fee of $15 to race. Funds will go to the Northwestern Student Government Association.

There will be two separate events: a 5K color run and a 1-mile color fun run or walk.

To pre-register for the event, email a registration form to Kaylyn Hansen at klhansen@nwosu.edu or drop a form off at her office in the Fine Arts building, room 207. Registration forms can be found at www.nwosu.edu/nwosu-color-run. Registration will also take place prior to the run from 10:40-11:15 a.m.

Kaylyn Hansen encourages all to participate in the event. “SGA is very excited about the event and we hope that everyone will attend for a fun day!”

There are numerous reasons to attend this year’s color run.

According to SGA vice president, Paige Little, “We are so excited to see both the community and school body come out and run! This year we have a cool new t-shirt design. Along with that, we will also have donations set up for a fellow ranger, Annie Hopper, as she is battling epilepsy. Come out and have some fun!”
